Tip Box Nail ArtRules & Regulations1.All entries must be submitted by no later than 10th July 2017, and delivered to the Professional Beauty offices/ TE Trade Events. 2.The pre-chosen theme for Tip Box Nail Art is “Pirates of The Caribbean”.3.The theme must be consistent throughout all ten nails and be carried through into the overall presentation. 4.Competitors may submit as many entries as they like, entry fee R100 per entry. 5.The competitor’s entry and artwork is to be designed and created on nail tips and placed in a transparent box, box frame or display case, which allows the competitors, nails to be seen.6.The competitor must create and display a full set of 10 nail tips with Nail Art. The work must tell a story pertaining to the pre-chosen theme, and may be any length and shape to create and compliment the artwork. Tips may be used in any creative way that depicts the theme and artwork.7.Displays may be shop bought or home made, the display boxes may be any size but should not be smaller than 10 inches in length and width and no less than 4 inches in height. 8.Tip Boxes may also be decorated inside and out as long as it pertains to the theme and flows throughout the entire presentation. 9.The artwork, which is submitted, must be solely that of the competitor who is submitting the work. 10. 10 finalists will be chosen and featured in the NailFile Supplement and at the Professional Beauty Nail Competition. Contestants must be aware and not object that all photographs will be displayed at the competition arena for public to view and will also be featured in the Professional Beauty magazine and NailFile supplement. 11. Competitors may use any or all of the following nail art mediums, systems and techniques to create and achieve their artwork with such as; Airbrushing, Gel, Liquid & Powder (Acrylic), 3D, Encapsulating, Hand painting and Embellishments. 12. No decals or bought pre decorated tips may be used; the Nail stylists must create all artwork themselves. 13. All artwork created must be original and different from anything that has been seen before and must not be replicated, the stylist work will be judged on skill, technique and creativity. 14. For guidance Google photographic and tip box art, there are some amazing and very interesting pieces of work that have been created for nail competitions across the globe. 15. The competitor’s work will be placed in the display unit at the competition arena for viewing. Displays must be left at the competition for viewing and may only be collected at the end of the competition.14. Competitors may collect their work on the last day of the show, Professional Beauty and it’s organizers will not take responsibility for any artwork not collected. 16. Winners will be announced on the 3rd September 2017 at the Nail Competition awards ceremony at the end of the competition. PLEASE NOTE:All entries for both Photographic and Tip Box Art categories must be accompanied by and include the following: Contestants must provide and include a portfolio, presentation or story book with written details along with their entry, and must consist of the following as this will be judged as part of the complete presentation. •Nail Stylist’s full name. •Salon name•Contact details •Theme and inspiration behind the theme. •Presentation - with a full step-by-step explanation of how the design was accomplished and achieved, with inspiration and interpretation behind the theme and story of your work.
