Professional Beauty Joburg resonates with the trade11 September 2017Thousands of industry professionals converged on Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand on 3 and 4 September for the Professional Beauty Johannesburg Expo, the leading trade event of its kind in Africa.“The Professional Beauty Johannesburg Expo 2017 was a great success for our team and we look forward to the next expo,” says Chivone De Lange of Best Lasers / Best Enterprise. Jacqui Faucitt of RégimA adds: “We’ve not been at the show for two years and the difference between previous shows and this year’s show was phenomenal. Everyone has upped their game. It’s been a great show, with lots of feet through the door. There were definitely more professional and solid leads this year so we’re very happy.” Says Eduard Scholtz of Bio Sculpture Gel: “We had a record day on the Sunday in terms of sales and were happy with our sponsorship of Professional Beauty’s Annual Nail Competition.”Says Morne Louw of Mia Secret South Africa: “The show was very good. We had lots of visitors come to the stand to see us and our visiting international educator, Arturo Osorio. Our stand was constantly busy.”Jacqui McMillen of The Lash Collection reports that she had more training enquiries than ever before. “There were only three of us on the stand and we took 80 enquiries in a single day.”Says Thyrza Price of Venus Concept: “The show went very well and we experienced a much better quality visitor to the stand. We received good, professional leads as opposed to rubber necking and people making general enquiries without much intention.” Lisa Charlton of Matis found the show very beneficial. “We did a lot of brand awareness and had good interaction with visitors. Doing flash treatments on the stand proved awesome as we gained a lot of social media following. We left the show with four and a half pages of leads.”Running alongside Professional Beauty Johannesburg was Salon Africa, the leading trade show for the hairdressing sector. Feedback indicates a successful expo with good foot fall. Says Kyle Sheppard of Ion Originals: “The show was awesome! On the first day alone we not only covered costs but even made a profit.”Priscilla Stefanos of Floractive Professional adds: “The quality of hairdresser enquiries was very good and I amassed seven pages of phone numbers.”Yolanda Melembe was pleased with the show. “We met a lot of potential partners and sales were very good for us on the first day.”Sharafit Aayub comments: “It was a very good show, very interactive and very positive. The show was really positive and even better than last year.” Says Safwat Wahib of Farouk Systems USA: “Professional Beauty is a well organised event. We received good leads from the show and hope to finalise with a well-known distributor shortly.”
