Indonesian therapists at Four Seasons Spa Westcliff 26 June 2017                                                                                                                                                                                               Tiniasih and Tirmi Two expert Indonesian therapists are in Johannesburg until 6 July to participate in a special Balinese promotion being run at the Four Seasons Spa Westcliff. Spa manager, Julanda Marais, explains: “We wanted to do a seasonal spa promotion, to keep our service offering vibrant. Balinese spa rituals are very renowned in the spa world, and both Four Seasons properties in Bali have world class spas. “While this will remain a seasonal spa promotion only, there are so many other unique spa offerings within the Four Seasons world, and it is perfect to tap each other’s resources.” Marais notes that the Balines promotion has generated a ‘phenomenal reaction’ from hotel guests and the spa’s regular local guests.  The two Indonesian therapists, Tiniasih and Tirmi, hail from the Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay and Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan, and have been in Johannesburg since 9 June. They are offering guests four traditional Balinese treatments, from nurturing and restorative massages to a luxurious, aromatic body scrub and hydrating floral bath. Treatments include ‘Traditional Balinese’, a Balinese massage that has passed through generations, preserving its unique healing techniques. “In its most traditional form, this massage uses long strokes, gentle skin rolling, deep kneads and foot reflexology,” says Marais. “Another Balinese treatment, the Kundalini Back Massage, is ideal for depleted bodies and souls. This nurturing treatment profoundly restores the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems. Focused massage and sound healing activate and channel the Kundalini (the dormant energy at the base of the spine). Tension and negativity are lifted and a state of balance and awareness is returned. It is great for jet lag or all-round soothing.” To complement the spa experience, a Balinese inspired lunch menu has also been created by the hotel’s chef and is served at the rooftop Après Spa lounge and Westcliff Deli.
