Durban beauty industry shows up29 May 2017Feedback from the recent Professional Beauty Durban Show, which took place at its brand new venue, the Greyville Convention Centre, indicates that the event was very well received by visitors and exhibitors alike. Seleena Pillay of Nail Therapy SA reports that the company doubled its sales and leads as compared to the 2016 show. “I personally felt that there was more traffic at this year’s show. All in all I enjoyed the new venue and showcasing my brand. Thank you to all the organisers of the Professional Beauty Durban Expo – we will be back next year.”Professional Beauty Durban marked Breo’s first trade show. Says product manager Alzana Engelbreght: “We appreciated the exposure we received from the expo. It was very informative hearing what people’s views were regarding the industry and our products, as the show served as the launch pad of our products and brand. We were grateful for all the positive feedback from visitors who came to experience our products. It was especially nice to see the smiles on their faces as they tried our products and simply relaxed.“We generated quite a lot of promising leads as the expo attracted a lot of visitors from the spa, nail and hair industry. The venue was lovely, with ample parking for the visitors.”Lisa Poll of Milk Solutions adds: “It was a good show and the atmosphere was positive. We had a lot of enquiries for our heel peel kit and have several leads to follow up. There was also a lot of interest in our foot files and replaceable grits, of which we sold quite a few. Show visitors were quite taken by our new manicure bowl, which is known as the ‘Super Bowl’. We will be launching this alongside our newest pedicure bowl with liners at the Professional Beauty Johannesburg Expo in early September.”Commenting on the show’s change of venue to the Greyville Convention Centre, commercial director of Professional Beauty, Phil Woods, says: “I believe that the change of venue was, overall, a great move and well received by both exhibitors and visitors. The feedback we have received from exhibitors has been very positive and it shows that we are attracting the right kind of visitor to the expo.”The Professional Beauty Durban 2018 show will take place on 20 and 21 May, at the Greyville Convention Centre.
